While the river offers a near endless array of attractions, there are several other fun and family-friendly things to do in the region.

Local Area, Jenner Inn

Bodega Highlands (1min walk) – A scenic and appealing rugged promontory, it’s a great place for a leisurely stroll, birdwatching, and never-ending photo opportunities

Jenner Beach (15 min walk) – Situated on the north side of the mouth of the Russian River, Jenner Beach is a relaxed and rustic beach perfect to a leisurely stroll and sightseeing.

Mammoth Rocks (3 min drive) – Also known as Sunset Rocks, this unique formation features rock with a smooth, glossy finish that scientists believe were used as “rubbing rocks” for pre=historic mammoths.

Blind Beach (6 min drive) – A long, narrow beach that is a great for beachcombing and fishing, location just a mile south of the Russian River Bridge, offering views of Arch Rock.

Goat Rock Beach (8 min drive) – Known for its scenic shoreline, Goat Rock Beach is an easily accessible sandy beach great for picnics. It is also home to a colony of harbor seals.

Kayak the Remarkable Russian River


Experience the breathtaking beauty of the Russian River and the Sonoma Coast. Breathe in the fresh air. Listen to the wildlife all around. Immerse yourself with nature and slow down. There’s no better way to experience the Russian River than on kayak.


We offer easy kayak rentals on-site allowing you to spend the day exploring the river and enjoying wildlife like herons, turtles, egrets, eagles, and other water fowl. The Russian River is recognized for clarity and consistent flow making the perfect way to spend a relaxing afternoon.


Rentals are available from the front desk daily, weather permitting. Kayaks are rented by the hour, with a two-hour minimum. Life jackets and paddles are included. Please contact us at 707-865-2377 for more information or to make reservations.
